The project logo Plan estratégico del paseo fluvial

Originalmente desarrollado como un parque lineal, el Paseo del Río se mejoró en la década de 1940 como un proyecto progresivo de control de inundaciones y embellecimiento. Ha sido fundamental para el desarrollo del centro de San Antonio durante los últimos 80 años. La Ciudad de San Antonio está comprometida con iniciativas que apoyan el crecimiento empresarial, facilitan la activación y consolidan el Paseo del Río como un destino de primera clase tanto para residentes como para visitantes .

Liderado por la Oficina de Preservación Histórica, se está desarrollando un nuevo Plan Estratégico para el Paseo del Río que servirá de marco para la toma de decisiones e inversiones futuras relacionadas con el mismo. Este proyecto les brindará numerosas oportunidades para que nos digan qué mejoras les gustaría ver, incluyendo una encuesta (enlace a continuación) y futuras reuniones públicas.

Join us for the first public meeting of the River Walk Strategic Plan, an important community effort to shape the future of one of the nation’s most iconic public spaces. This event will introduce the planning process, share what we hope to learn from residents and stakeholders, and provide opportunities for you to share your ideas, concerns, and vision for the River Walk’s next chapter. 

During the meeting, attendees will: 

  • Learn about the goals and timeline of the Strategic Plan. 

  • Hear from project leaders and subject-matter experts. 

  • Participate in interactive activities designed to gather community input. 

  • Connect with staff and partners who are helping guide the process. 

No matter your connection to the River Walk, your voice matters! 

Registration is not required, but please let us know you’re coming! Parking at the Central Library is free with a validation ticket.
